Colwall
Colwall is located on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire border on the western side of the Malvern Hills. A feature of Colwall is the view of the Iron Age British Camp.
Colwall is included in the “The Malverns,” which is the Malvern Hills and the surrounding settlements.
Malvern Spring Water
Colwall was the home of the Malvern Water bottling factory. In 1890, Schweppes was allowed to build a bottling facility this was completed in 1892. Coca-Cola took over Schweppes in 1987; in October 2010, Coca-Cola announced closing the facility, and the land was sold.
Railway Station
Just a short walk from Colwall Cottage is the single-platform railway station on the single-track line between the Great Malvern and Ledbury railway stations, with direct service to London Paddington. The line passes through the Colwall Tunnels, dug under the Malvern Hills between 1856 and 1860. The original tunnel was closed in the 1920s with a danger of collapse; it was used as a torpedo store during the Second World War.

Old Village feel
Colwall has the old village feel with its local shops and businesses. These include a convenience store, a small fruit and vegetable shop, a butcher’s shop, a pharmacy, an estate agent, hairdressers, a garden centre, a library, a doctors’ surgery, a post office, pubs, and two restaurants.
The clock tower was built in 1931 and stands just a short distance from Colwall Cottage, where if you are outside, you can hear the chime.
